Training program for TAASL members

The Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka (TAASL), an affiliate of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, organised a training program for the membership which was conducted by the International Aviation Academy (IAA) of SriLankan Airlines Ltd.

The four-day training program was carried out in three batches. The objective of this program was to develop skills and knowledge of members and upgrade the standard of the industry.

Training was provided in team building, training on GDS (Global Distribution System) systems, customer services, airport formalities, airline geography, baggage handling and code-sharing agreements.

The graduation ceremony was held at the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management recently. CEO of Sri Lankan Airlines, Kapila Chandrasena was the chief guest.

Fazil Amith from Metro Travels (Pvt) Ltd was awarded best student.
