National confab on ‘Expansion of Buddhism and socialisation’
The first National Conference on the theme “Expansion of Buddhism and
its Socialisation” will be held from August, 24 – 25 at Buddhist and
Pali University premises at Pitipana, Homagama.
The prime objective of the Conference is to commemorate the 2600th
Supreme Enlightenment Jubilee of the Gautama Buddha, by setting up a
forum for the academicians engaged in Buddhist studies as well as other
related disciplines to take a cohesive and reciprocal brainstorming into
the deepest fathom of Supreme and Sublime Humanity of the Buddha’s
teaching.
The confab gathers the researchers, scholars and professionals from
the academia to discourse on novel research and important issues
relevant to the Theravada Buddhism, thus addressing range of imperative
themes as it intends to foster a forum for all the erudite scholars to
share their knowledge and work together to shield the pure Theravada
tradition from the external challenges. |
