Percept in partnership with the Citrus Group will organise the Sunburn Music Festival for the first time in Sri Lanka this year. The event will be held in October.

Organised by Percept, an entertainment, media and communications company in India, the festival has been held every year since 2007 in Goa, India.

Harindra Singh, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Percept Ltd, said: "Sri Lanka is an untapped, vibrant and a growing market for consuming entertainment, music and sports products. Sunburn, Colombo is the beginning of introducing a globally acknowledged IP to the Sri Lankan music lovers." Sunburn Festival was nominated among the top 10 music festivals in the world as well as Asia's biggest music festival. It was also voted as the best live entertainment event of 2008 and 2010.
