Police probe Wellawatte deaths

Three bodies were found inside a house in a decomposed state, yesterday afternoon by policemen when they broke in, Police Media Spokesman, SSP Ajith Rohana told the Sunday Observer.

The deceased have been identified as the father (59), mother (58) and daughter (26) from Kotagala, and were living in a rented house at Ramakrishna Road Wellawatte. “We are unable to comment on their deaths right now until an autopsy is carried out by the Judicial Medical Officer, Colombo,” the Police Media Spokesman said.

Wellawatte police have launched an investigation into the deaths of the three.
