Seychelles delegation visits Vallibel hydro power plant

A delegation of senior officials of the Government of the Seychelles who accompanied the President of the Republic of Seychelles, James Alix Michel on his state visit to Sri Lanka, paid a visit to the mini hydropower project of Vallibel in Erathna, Kuruwita.

This visit was the result of the interest expressed by the Seychelles Government to study the power generation strategy of Sri Lanka and the suggestion of the Ministry of External Affairs to visit the facility operated by the Vallibel Power Erathna plc.

The delegation consisting of Minister of Natural Resources and Industry, Peter Andrew Sinon, Chairman of the Boat Owners Association, Beatty Salome Hoarau, Director General of Trade in the Ministry of Finance, Trade and Investment, Charles Angelin Morin, First Secretary Desk Officer for Sri Lanka, Ms. Johnette Stephen and officials of the Ministry of External Affairs visited the power plant.
