Twenty-five students from Mullaitivu win Ogawa scholarships

In 1999 Ms. Ogawa of JASTECA launched a scholarship fund for underprivileged students to pursue higher education.

The students were selected from among those who were successful at the GCE Advanced Level examination.

The 13th scholarship awards ceremony was held recently at the Vidyananda School in Mullaitivu. The JASTECA executive committee, the district education director and the district education officers participated in the scholarship award ceremony. Twenty-five students were awarded the Ogawa Scholarship. Here a student receives the scholarship. The students were given financial and material assistance.
