Fresh date for postal voters

Postal voters who failed to cast their votes on the due dates for the
Sabaragamuwa, Eastern and North Central Provincial Council elections
could do so on September 6 before 2.00 p.m. Deputy Commissioner,
Elections M. Mohammed said.
Postal voting was held on August 27 and 28.
Those who failed to cast their postal votes on the due dates can do
so at the district election offices as the Department has given a
special opportunity for these postal voters, he said.
They can cast their votes at the District election office close to
their workplaces, Mohammed said.
He said that of the 120,080 applications 19,291 postal voting
applications were rejected.
