SLCBCC recognises top business entities
Trade between Sri Lanka and China has grown by around 150 percent

He told the SLCBCC Awards ceremony, he said that bilateral relations
between Sri Lanka and China have grown with both countries sharing
expertise and cooperating in difficult times.
"China is a major trade partner of Sri Lanka. Trade between the two
countries has been vibrant since the third century. Sri Lanka
commemorates the Sri Lanka-China Rice Pact each year," he said.
The SLCBCC has played a lead role in promoting bilateral business and
friendly ties between the two countries since its inauguration in 1994.
The SLBCC Business Star Awards is to achieve the objectives of the
Council. The awards are aimed at recognising Sri Lankan business
organisations which have excelled in trade with China while adhering to
good practices. Sierra Cables (Pvt) Ltd clinched the pinnacle award and
the Gold in the manufacturing sector. Damsila Exports Ltd bagged the
Silver, Chemanex and Micro Cars won the Bronze award.
Yaseens Computer Graphics Ltd won the Gold award in the medium
service sector category. Wijetunge Machinery (Pvt) Ltd won the Gold
award in the small imports sector, Mead Lee Trading (Pvt) Ltd. clinched
the Gold in the large import sector while TCI Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd.
bagged the Silver.
Aminra Collections won the Gold in the large exports sector and Zam
Gems clinched the Silver award .
