Wesley College Class of 68-72 reunion Sept 15

Coming together, staying together and working together”...... sumps up the grand reunion of Wesley College Class of ‘68-72’ reunion to be held on September 15, 2012. The walk down memory lane, will herald a momentous day, when the coming together of the ‘1968-1972’ batch of Old Wesleyites takes place.

Old boys of Wesley College including many of their school mates, mainly from Australia, the UK, USA and the Middle East will renew and revive the bonds of friendship that has stayed together beyond 50 years.

Teachers who taught during that era including Messrs Rodrigo, Dharmaratne, Mrs. V.S. Fernando, Messrs Pakianathan, Haig Karunaratne, Kalupahana, Suppiah, Edmond Dissanayake, Marshal Fernando, M.A.P. Fernando, Mrs. Ranjini Fernando, Miss Norma de Silva, Mrs. Lynnet de Silva, Messrs Premadasa, L. Piyasena, L.C.R. Wijesinghe, Mrs. B.A. Fernando, Mr. Samaranayake will be present as special invitees. They will be felicitated during the ‘assembly’ in the hall, for the selfless contribution they have all made towards educating every Wesleyite who came under their dedicated care.

To make it a day to remember - where the past catches up with the present, the Morning session is scheduled to commence with a ‘walk to school’ by all those attending, and, who are expected to gather at the Old Wesleyites Sports Club (OWSC) premises.

The procession will start at 9.30 a.m., accompanied by the College Hewisi Band, switching over to the College Western Band who will take over, upon arrival at the College Gate. The gathering is then due to assemble at the College Hall where the main proceedings will unfold. At the conclusion of this ‘Very Special Assembly’, at approximately 11.30 a.m.
