'Abans' Walk carry many prizes

CRICKET: Sri Lanka will host the T20 Cricket World Cup for the first time and Abans Limited will be the exclusive partner of LG - the global partner for the T20 Cricket World Cup 2012.

There will be many promotions and events for this tournament and the first ever LG Abans T20 Walk will be on September 14 starting at 10.30 a.m. onwards. This walk is held as gesture of blessing for the Sri Lanka cricket team. More than 2,000 people are expected to participate in the walk.

Guests of honour for this event will include Abans Chairperson - Mrs Aban Pestonjee, LG Principles, select Ministers and former Cricketers.

The LG Bat was launched at Galle Face Green on August 12 and it will also join the LG Abans T20 Walk to collect autographs of well wishing cricket fans from the cricket loving public joining the walk.

The LG Bat will finally be presented to the Sri Lanka cricket team at a ceremony before the T20 World Cup begins.

There will be many interesting events taking place alongside the walk. The participants at the walk will compete for the Best Dressed Vehicle award.

The best and most creatively decorated vehicle will win an elaborate prize. The public too can participate in the competition by bringing their own decorated vehicles.
