Ananda clinch Inter-School tennis title

TENNIS: The Ananda College tennis team emerged overall champions beating St. Peter's, Colombo at the recently concluded All Island Inter-School Tennis Tournament held at Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) courts.

Ananda College played well throughout the entire tournament beating top tennis playing schools in the country bagging the under-13, under-15 and under-19 championships while under-17 secured the 2nd runner-up position.

Over 400 players representing nearly 25 schools islandwide participated in this event, which is considered the biggest tennis event at school level organised by the Sri Lanka Schools' Tennis Association (SLSTA).

"The victory could not have been achieved if it wasn't for theguidance and support of Principal L.M.D. Dharmasena, Vice Principal Kumara Rodrigo, POG Jagath de Alwis and Teacher-in-Charge Ramya Samaradiwakara," Head Coach Anupa Maththamagoda said.
