ANCL Chairman donates land for temple

Chairman of the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited Bandula Padmakumara and Ms Padmakumara paid homage to Kirivehera, Ashtapala Bodhi and Kataragama Maha Devalaya and offered a beautiful curtain depicting God Kataragama to Kataragama Maha Devalaya recently.

On this tour he had discussions with incumbent of Kirivehera Rajamaha Viharaya and Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University Ven. Dr. Aluthwewe Soratha, Basnayake Nilame of Kataragama Maha Devalaya and Uva Chief Minister Sashindra Kumara Rajapaksa and incumbent of Sri Abhinavaramaya and Chief Adhikarana Sanganayaka Ven. Kapugama Saranatissa.

He exchanged ideas with teachers and the students of Sri Sugunatissa Daham Pasala conducted under the administration of Ven. Kapugama Saranatissa Thera. who was offered a plot of land by Lake House to build a new temple Sri Sambuddha Jayanthi Bodhirajaramaya adjoining the Kataragama Lake House Branch office.
