Devin, Madushan excel

Bad light brought the S. Thomas- Dharmapala under-19 school cricket match to an abrupt halt as it ended in a draw at Mount Lavinia yesterday.

The Thomians who were 56 for 2 at the end of the first day in reply to Dharmapala's 149 was aided by two useful innings by Devin Jayasinghe 46 and Madushan Ravichandrakumar (66) and reached 215. Himasha Liyanage 4 for 60 and Kushan Jayalath 4 for 59 bowled best for the Dharmapalians.

Dharmapala: 149 and 116 for 2 at close (Harsha Randika 50 n.o., Prashan Ratnayake 42 n.o., Dilum Fernando 2 for 23).
