Mercantile Hockey Sevens today

The 36th Annual Mercantile Seven-a-Side Hockey Tournament conducted by the Mercantile Hockey Association and sponsored by Brown and Company PLC for the 6th consecutive year, will be held today 21st(Sunday) from 8.00 am onwards at the P. Sara Stadium.

The participating 21 teams have been divided into 5 groups and the cream of Sri Lanka talent will be on show.

In the 'A' Division: 5 teams will compete for the Dennis de Rosayro Trophy, donated by Janashakthi Insurance Company Ltd. The teams are Commercial Bank, Hatton National Bank 'A', Samapth Bank, HSBC and Seylan Bank.

In the 'B' Division: There are 5 teams competing for the Singer Trophy. The teams are: HNB 'B', Singer 'A', Unilever, Commercial Bank 'B' and Airport and Aviation.

'C' Division: 4 teams - for the Lifebuoy Trophy - The teams: Browns Group, AWD Group, Singer 'B' and Hayleys.

'D' Division: 4 teams - for Edmund H. Cooray Tyrophy - The teams: Arpico, Aviva NDB Insurance, Satandard Chartered Bank and Janashakthi Insurance.

'E' Division: 3 teams - for Ceylon Cold Stores Trophy - The teams: Hilton Colombo, Glaxo SmithKline and Wso2.
