Abans and LG promote 'greener evolution'
Abans and LG Electronics hosted the LG Multi V Convention - 2012
recently at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla. The convention focused on
'Greener evolution for a better tomorrow' promoting LG Multi V HVAC
system for central air conditioning.
A spokesman for the company said, "As Sri Lanka has transformed
the construction industry with green building practices, it was a
perfect opportunity for customers, architects, consultants who were
looking forward for a green building and LEED certification."
Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Moratuwa, Prof. Attalage,
LEED Specialist of LG Korea, Seung Uk Lee, Deputy General Manager,
HVAC engineering team, Hobok Lee, Marketing Director, A/c Products
Korea, Dustin Lee, and Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager,
Buddhika Wasala were present.
Prof. Attalage focused on 'Beyond Certification: the true
benefits of Green Building'.
Seung Uk Lee explained the six key benefits of LG Multi VI and
how LG could help customers for 'green building' projects and green
building objectives, benefits and LEED ratings.
He explained how the LG Multi VIII Inverter Scroll, a new high
side shell innovation which offers a more compact size for the same
output with greater reliability; how the rapid start cooling feature
reaches from set point temperatures 40 percent faster, and how AHRI
1230 Certification of Multi VIII is one of the first
performance-certified VRF systems. This insures building owners
receive verified ratings which comply with all national energy
codes.
Seung Uk Lee also explained how Compact Footprint in Multi VIII
supports more indoor zones and takes up less outdoor space. When
space or access is at a premium, this equates to significant cost
advantages for the owner on large projects. He also said that with
longer piping distances users can reach extra zones that are further
away from the Multi V III unit.
This eliminates the need to invest in extra systems and saves on
installation cost. The enhanced energy efficiency of the high side
shell compressor, enhanced coil optimisation and double spiral sub
cooler results in verified efficiency improvements for new national
energy codes, he said.
Hobok Lee presented a brief overview of the most advanced LG
Multi V Technology HVAC System. Combining innovation with higher
efficiency, LG Multi V III VRF technology offers AHRI certified
ratings, fast response cooling and a space-saving smaller footprint.
The spokesman said, "LG is now positioned to become the 'No: 1 HVAC
and Energy Solution Company' and LG MULTI VI series will be LG's
flagship product where demand for energy-saving, technology is fast
growing. Multi VIII can help building owners reduce their
operational costs and be friendlier to the environment even while
providing reliable cooling in extremely hot and humid regions. LG
Multi VIII allows building designers to claim up to 16 LEED points."
Buddhika Wasala explained the LG Multi V Product Range, Inverter
controlled new technology and said that LG Multi V units are energy
saving and environmental-friendly products with easy installation
and maintenance.
"The company that always strives to promote the eco-friendly and
the green concept in all their products and services," the spokesman
said.
