Improving English in Kalutara schools

Kalutara Assistant Director of English Education Keerthilatha Ratnayake told the Sunday Observer that she hopes to commence a series of English language improvement programs next year within Kalutara Zonal Schools.

Ratnayake hopes to get the support of all English teachers, In-service Advisers and principals to make the program a success.

A zonal level English Day program will be given priority among all other programs. Seminars, workshops and various other English language improvement programs are also expected to be carried out throughout next year for the benefit of English teachers.

She hopes Ordinary Level and Advanced Level students will especially benefit from these programs.
