MBSL seminar and book launch

Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka PLC (MBSL) will hold a seminar 'Three perspectives of a managing business' at the Cinnamon Lakeside on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 4 pm - 6.30 pm.

On the same day MBSL will release a book 'Knowledge Dissemination to the Business Community' containing all the knowledge dissemination networking programs conducted by the Bank to educate the business community and also build relationships in business on an ongoing basis.

The seminar will be an interactive awareness on business improvement focusing on the Budget incentives to list companies on the Stock Exchange with a three-year tax holiday on equity and no withholding tax in the debt market.

Institutions have derived many benefits by obtaining listed entity status. However, developing a suitable capital product will be a important factor for an institution. This could be a basic share issue, a convertible debt issue or even a complex hybrid structure. The recent government budget proposals came with many Capital Market Development initiatives.
