Monash University supports NAPSIPAG
Monash University, one of Australia's largest universities supported
the ninth International Conference of the Network of Asia Pacific
Schools and Institutes of Public Administration and Governance
(NAPSIPAG), last week.
ANC Education is the only licensed education partner with Monash
College in Sri Lanka and promotes educational programs offered by Monash
College to the local community.
Monash University also hosted a get-together of Monash alumni in Sri
Lanka recently.
Several senior staff from Monash University, including Deputy
Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement), Prof Stephanie Fahey, Deputy Dean
(Research) Faculty of Business and Economics, Prof Gary Magee, and the
Head of Department of Management, Prof Ian McLoughlin were present.
Australia has ranked Monash as being the most popular destination for
Sri Lankan students undertaking overseas tertiary education.
Deputy Director of Education, Department of Management at Monash
University, Associate Professor Ramanie Samaratunge said, Monash was one
of the universities at which students looked forward to studying due to
its international reputation for excellence.
"This get-together for Monash alumni in Sri Lanka is due to the
significant number of graduates living here. Monash University is
acclaimed for its research excellence, quality of teaching and diversity
of courses offered.
The University consistently rates highly in three of the world's most
prestigious university ranking indices and is regarded as a world-class
research institution by independent organisations such as the Australian
Research Council."
"With eight state-of-the-art campuses across Australia, Malaysia and
South Africa, Monash is a truly global university with a culture built
on diversity and inclusion," she said.
