'Tasting tea with a difference'
Rama's Tea House, Lounge and tea boutique in Kotte provides a
different experience to its customers.
The dynamism behind the whole novel concept was inspired by the
owner's experience of London tea pubs, and creates an ambience that is
conducive to making it a place to be in. Housed in 2,500 square foot of
space, it is designed to bring together people of all age groups,
offering them a range of handpicked tea mocktails, local smallholder
produced flavoured teas, green teas and bar food.
"Our commitment is to provide food and tea-based beverages with
quality and style that would make Rama's a place worth visiting. We want
people to feel as though they had an unique experience by providing them
with a combination of service, art and ambience," founder proprietor
Sarathchandra Ramanayake said.
Another novel offering by Rama's will be the serving of a buffet
breakfast for the health conscious which would include an innovative
preparation of health food with green tea, local gram, yam, country rice
and other traditional recipes. It hopes to attract joggers in the Kotte
strip adjoining the Diyawanna Oya.
Rama's Tea House and Lounge, a combination of tradition and
innovation has a comfortable lounging area equipped with leather
lounges, TVs, a pool table, and Wi-Fi facilities. It offers customers a
totally relaxing atmosphere.
An attractive British style bar provides a bar-stool experience.
Framed pictures of the bygone British era that adorn the walls create an
intimate and cosy environment.
