PJ Group ventures into exotic poultry

The PJ Group management team

From tourism and real estate, the PJ Group founded by pioneer hotelier Prasanna W Jayewardene ventured into organic farming, plantations and Forestry in 2009.

Now set up in Vakarai, Anuradhapura and Mullattivu, the Group will go to Jaffna, Vauniya, Vakaneri and Mahiyangana from the beginning of next year. “Our organic, pro-life, boutique farms now have started on non-edible livestock breeding,” CEO Amara Galagoda said.

“Exotic poultry is the starting point together with horse breeding, which will be extended to other livestock breeds which will not be used at any stage for consumption as this goes against our pro-life policies.” “Our integrated golf, hotel and housing projects and our 'PJs Flights of Fancy' small, luxury branded hotels too are going on as planned,” she said.
