Sala Enterprises wins awards at Entrepreneur of the Year 2012

Sala Enterprises won the National Merit Award in the large category and the Provincial Award in the large category for Western Province at the Sri Lanka Entrepreneur of the Year 2012.

"We consider these awards to be a source of encouragement to continue our efforts in technology. We have been in the forefront of providing modern technology to make Sri Lanka a computer savvy nation, Sala Enterprises Managing Director Chinthaka Wijewickrama told Sunday Observer Business.

The company has contributed vastly to the progress in the industry and the success behind the achievements is the availability of the latest gadgets and innovative technology within the reach of the people. The solutions offered are customised to the market and is user-friendly, he said.

Sala Enterprises celebrated 20 years this year and will strive to improve its retail network. Plans are under way to set up more sales points in the outstations.

Wijewickrama is the Vice President of the Federation of IT Industry of Sri Lanka. He has an engineering background with over six years being a lecturer at the Sri Jayawardenapura University.
