Abans launches mobile repair service
LG-Abans Quick Mobile Service Bus was launched by Chairperson of
Abans Group, Ms. Aban Pestonjee recently at the Abans Service Centre in
Wellawatte.
The bus is equipped with machinery for repairs, service and
maintenance of electronic and electric home appliances sold by Abans.
The repairs will be done by experienced, factory-trained technicians
and engineers.
The bus also has a sitting area for customers who can relax in
comfort and watch TV or video while their equipment is being serviced
and repaired.
Abans customers will be notified in the press of the date and venue
when the bus will visit a perticular area. Service and repairs will be
undertaken on a first-come-first-serve basis between 9 am and 5 pm on
the specified dates.
"There will be fun and games and video movies for children and adults
at all sites that Abans Mobile Service Bus will visit. You can also get
technical advice on any complex matters about the appliances," a
spokesman for Abans said.
"We advise customers not to give their expensive equipment for
service or repairs to persons who are not geared to handle precision
equipment and who do not have access to genuine spare parts."
"We also cautions customers that any equipment purchased from Abans
and given to unauthorised persons for service or repairs will render the
warranty given by Abans null and void," he said.
