The 98 Acres Resort is said to be one of the most elegant and serene spots upcountry with a variety of boutiques and hotels offering a unique experience to visitors.

During the colonial period, the estate was managed by Englishmen and was known as 'Southerland tea estate'. Now it is owned by the UHE Group and is known as 'Uva Greenlands'. The plantation, while continuing to produce fine quality Uva medium elevation pure Ceylon Tea now houses the holiday resort suitably named 98 Acres under the same management.
