Medal winners rewarded with cash

Central Province athletes who won Gold Silver and Bronze Medals at the recently concluded 38th National Games held in Colombo will be rewarded with cash. Gold Medal winners were awarded cash prize of Rs. 10,000 while the Silver Medalists were awarded Rs. 7,500 and the Bronze Modalists Rs. 5,000.

The function was held on the 20th December 2012 at Dharmaraja College, Auditorium under the Patronage of Central Provincial Council Health Minister, Sunil Amaratunge. Central Province,

Director of Sports, Y.M.Y. Yapa Bandara and Secretary for the Ministry of Sports (CP), Upali Alahakoon were present at this occasion.

A sum of Rs. 1.8 million was allocated by the Ministry of Sports, Central Provincial Council for this purpose.
