Intec Expo 2013 will boost construction industry

Over 25 global partners operating on systems solutions, technology
and technical expertise for building services showcased their products
and services at the Intec Expo 2013 exhibition for the first time in Sri
Lanka.

Intec is an integrated MEP, LEV and fire and life safety systems and
solutions provider and the availability of comprehensive services
supplied by its global partners is a boon to the construction and
engineering industry.
Managing Director, Intec Systems and Solutions, Janaka Somananda who
introduces new technology to the Asian region, said that the company
expects to foray further into markets in the SAARC region and South East
Asia, while offering high quality, cost effective technology solutions.
"Our network of foreign principals will help provide a professional
technical service to local clients," he said. The reduction of Customs
duty on construction machinery and equipment in the 2012 Budget has
helped the company improve business.
"Our mission is to ensure that our clients have state-of-the-art
solutions as Sri Lanka is in an accelerated development phase, where
infrastructure development has gained momentum. There is a palpable need
to give the country the tools and avenues to ensure that the technology
solutions used are of international standard," he said.
Intec Systems and Solutions (Pvt) Ltd, a provider of electrical
equipment and extra low voltage systems for the building construction
industry had 250 products on show at Intec Expo to strengthen the
company's product portfolio in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, IT,
telecom, audio visual, fire and safety.
Intec also provides audio and visual solutions for the hospitality
and engineering sectors with digital signage, AV systems for ballroom
and guest room management, fire detection systems and centralised
lighting systems.
