Abans unveils Titan light-powered watch
Abans launched the Titan HTSE (High Tech Self Energised) gents watch
recently.
"This watch which is designed and developed by Titan can be charged
by any source of light, as tiny as a candle flame to direct sunlight", a
spokesman for the company said.
"The Titan HTSE gents watch marks a departure from the normal
classical and fashion offerings from Titan. Inspired by the complex
self-energising bodies like space stations and space crafts, the Titan
HTSE distinguishes itself by its geometric case contours, anthracite
colours and saucer-shaped perforated dials", he said.
"The watch has light powered features such as 'Quick Start Function'
which starts the watch from an absolute dead state in less than 10 to 20
seconds.
The 'Sleep Mode Function' greatly increases the life of the battery.
The 'End of Life' feature indicates that the battery needs a
recharge. The 'Overcharge Prevention' feature protects the watch from
overcharging of the battery and 'TSWF' is a time set warning feature.
"The Titan HTSE Quadrant is inspired by the various elements of a
space shuttle. The geometrically serrated profile of the bezel ring
resembles the locking mechanism used in space shuttles. The hands of the
watch seem as if they have been taken out of the fan blades of the
shuttle cooling units. The pronounced crown combined with the anthracite
colour gives the watch a space craftish cross sectional view", he said.
