Major honours for Bens

St. Benedicts College, Kotahena gained a first innings win over St. Sebastians College by 63 runs in their inter school under-19 cirkcket match worked off at Moratuwa.

Bens continuing on day two at 41 for 1 declared at 202 for 9 with Sameera Sandamal making the top score of 87 runs and Mahel Jayalath 28 and Geethika Jayathilleke 28 were the other contributors.

When the stumps were drawn Sebs were 47 for 4 with Sangeeth Cooray 17.

St. Sebastians': 139 and 47/4 (Sangeeth Cooray 17, Chandana Jayashanka 2/8).

St. Benedicts': Overnight 41/1 202/9 declared (Sameera Sandamal 87, Mahel Jayalath 28, Geethika Jayathilleke 28, Nimesh Fernando 2/25, Anushka Perera 2/38).
