Applications called for 'Paapedi'
The Eco Friendly Volunteers (ECO-V) organises 'Paapedi' - a bicycle
journey for climate justice. 'Paapedi' will be a 10-day travel on
bicycles from Anuradhapura to Colombo with 25 youth representing all
nine provinces.
If you are between 18-28 andcan ride a bicycle, have special interest
in environmental conservation and ready to action for climate change
issues, apply with your CV before February 15, 2013. Females are also
encouraged to apply.
Free training on global environmental crisis, environmental
conservation, and leadership skills will be given to the participants
prior to the journey. Participants will be guided through this journey
for a unique learning experience. This is the second journey of its kind
organised by ECO-V and the first journey took place with 21 youth along
the Kelani River in 2011.
