Burst of colour
Flowers have depth and meaning. Gladioli, the bright coloured flowers
are symbolic of strength and character. Tiny rosebuds symbolise purity
and loveliness.
A pink rose represents grace and happiness. Sunflowers with their
happy bright faces are a token of adoration while Alstroemeria are
symbolic of wealth, prosperity and fortune. Whatever your belief the
Shi-en Ikebana and Floral Art Society will steal your heart away with
their exhibition 'Burst of colour' which will be held today and tomorrow
1 at the Galadari Hotel from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm.
The exhibition will showcase over 100 big and small, floor and table
arrangements, each one promising to be different from the rest.
There will also be a demonstration in the Western art of flower
arranging and Ikebana, the ancient Japanese art of flower arrangement.
The demonstration will be from 4.00 pm.
The proceeds from this exhibition will be for to children suffering
from Talasemia.
