Gateway undisputed netball champs
Having been Over 15 Champions for three consecutive years, Gateway
College, Colombo once again won the Under-19 Girls Netball Championship
organised by Ilma International School and played at the Sugathadasa
Indoor Stadium, Colombo.
At the finals, Gateway beat Ilma International School by 18-3. At the
semi-final, Gateway beat Colombo International School, Colombo, 17-1. In
the preliminary stage, Gateway overcame Lyceum International School,
Nugegoda 17-02, Royal Institute 13-2, OKI International School 10-3 and
The British School in Colombo 11-4.
All major awards of the tournament were won by Gateway netballers.
Prisca Ratnasingham chosen as Netball Queen of the Tournament. Kalani de
Silva was chosen Best Centre Court Player and Sandali Weerasinghe was
adjudged Best Shooter.
