Sri Lanka Veterans Cycling Association AGM
Two former cycling stalwarts, Dr. Amal Harsha de Silva and champion
cyclist Anthony Symons were unanimously elected as President and
Secretary of the Sri Lanka Veterans Cycling Association at their Annual
General meeting held at the Moratuwa Stadium, pavilion recently.

P.Anthony Symons a past Tour de Lanka winner, a popular cycle race
conducted by the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd some years ago
along with a cycling doctor have joined hands to uplift the standard of
the sport which was extremely popular some years ago.
Symons who has participated in 15 Tour de Lanka races, and won it in
1964 , and a winner in many more races conducted in Sri Lanka is still
going strong in the saddle riding for the Masters .
