Sanath Jayasuriya appointed Sri Lanka Tourism Ambassador

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) appointed the Cricketing legend and Member of Parliament Sanath Jayasuriya as the Tourism Ambassador of Sri Lanka during the “Get Sri Lankaned” joint promotional campaign held in Bangalore, India. Accordingly, Jayasuriya was given a plaque by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development Muthu Sivalingam, during the event, the “Sri Lankan Night”, which was the first promotional programme under “Get Sri Lankaned” held at Vivanta By Taj Hotel Bangalore.

This appointment made by Sri Lanka Tourism on the advice of Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa, the former Sri Lankan Cricket star will function as a Tourist Ambassador to promote Sri Lanka as an international destination.
