Sebs hold Wesley to a draw

St. Sebastian's College drew with Wesley College in their inter school Under-19 cricket match played at Campbell Park. Sebs batting first were all out for 179 runs with Kusal Lakthilina making the top score of an unbeaten 84 runs with ten fours. While Nimesh Fernando contributed 34 runs. Andrew Piras took 3 for 30.

In reply Wesleyites made the indentical score of 179 with Migara Wickremasinghe scoring 57 runs with eight fours. Pramesh Fernando had a fine spell of 6 for 55 for Sebs.

In their second essay at the close Sebs were 73 for 4 with Andrew Piras claiming 3 for 22.

St. Sebastians: 179 (Kusal Lakthilina 84 n.o, Nimesh Fernando 34, Andrew Piras 3/30, Jonothan Kadiragamarpulle 2/25, Sadun Jayawardene 2/40) and 73/4 (Gayan Silva 16, Andrew Piras 3/22).

Wesley: 179 (Migara Wickramasinghe 57, Sandun Jayawardene 28, Dinuka Jayasinghe 20, Pramesh Fernando 6/55, Anushka Perera 2/27).
