Asian Paints launches 'Apex Roofguard'
Asian Paints recently launched 'Apex Roofguard' to colour and protect
roofs.
A modified acrylic based pigmented water soluble coating developed
for roof tiles and asbestos roofing sheets, Apex Roofguard is available
in seven colours and in containers of one, four, ten and twenty litres,
a company spokesman said.
"It had been tested for 18 months prior to its launch," he said.
It is highly adhesive, is non-flammable and has outstanding weather,
algae and fungi resistance, helping to prolong the life span of roofing
while contributing to the aesthetics of the building, Asian Paints
Lanka's Director and General Manager Joseph L. Pulikottil said.
"Apex Roofguard is an exciting and significant addition to our
extensive product portfolio in Sri Lanka," he said. "Roofs in many parts
of the country are exposed to scorching sunshine and torrential rains,
resulting in discolouration and weakening. This product will keep roofs
looking brighter for longer."
Asian Paints has been appointed sole paint supplier to two of the
leading manufacturers of asbestos roofing sheets in Sri Lanka,
Pulikottil said.
"Available in several colours apex roofguard should be applied after
a coating of Asian paints' exterior sealer for best effects and
economy," the spokesman said. Asian Paints Lanka was the first overseas
acquisition of Asian Paints, one of India's multinationals with
international operations in 24 countries. It manufactures and markets an
extensive range of paints.
