Unprecedented O/L results at Royal College

Royal College has achieved unprecedented results in the GCE Ordinary Level examination held in December 2012 under the guidance of the principal Upali Gunasekara and teachers. Of the 650 students sitting the examination in all three media, 141 students achieved As in all nine subjects (9As). One hundred and four students received 8As and 74 received 7As, 50 percent of the students succeeded in getting 7As and above.

Dasun Jayasinha of Royal College achieved the all-island best results. This is consistent with the excellent O/L results of Royal College year-on-year: 90 (9As) in 2010 and 119 (9As) in 2011. Today, Royal College is at the pinnacle of secondary education. The support of the teachers, alumni and parents had laid a strong foundation on which students thrive and accomplish their academic ambitions. The results also speak volumes of the facilities and teaching at the college.
