No changes at the top in three competitions
Thurstan College’s Minhaj Jaleel kept up his lead in the Platinum
Division of Schools in the Observer-Telecom Most Popular Schoolboy
Cricketer of the Year 2013 of the Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year
Competition. Earlier Jaleel had the lead with 24,201 votes and he
increased the lead to 27,761 votes after last week’s count.
In second place was Royal’s Milan Abeysekera with 26,996 votes and
coming third was Anusha Perera of St. Sebastian’s, Moratuwa with 25,614
votes. In the Gold Division of II Schools, St. John’s, Nugegoda Yamal
Siriwardena kept his lead with 23,101 votes and in second place was
Charuka Herath of Sri Sumangala, Panadura with 22,907 votes.
Then in the Silver Division for III Schools, Trishan Rodrigo of
Loyala College, Negombo is in the lead with 20,002 votes and Sahan
Dharmakeerthie of Ananda Sastralaya, Kotte is presently second with
19,793 votes.
