TNA misleading Tamils

The TNA's political propaganda based on its arbitrary decisions relating to Tamils' issues came under fire from the leader of the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF), V. Ananda SangareeThe TNA should unite with other Tamil political parties in all matters concerning the common interests of the Tamils. They are misleading the Tamils by not doing so, he said.

They served the interests of the LTTE for 10 long years and now they are branding other Tamil parties as the ones who took to arms, Sangaree said.

The TULF was founded by S.J.V. Chelvanayagam, who left behind principles like peace and non-violence as his legacy, he said. But self-centered individuals started the TNA when there was no need for such a party.

Any proposals or suggestions as a solution to the Tamils' issues should be a collective decision of Tamils' political parties in the North, the East, the South and the Central hill country, he said.

Only solutions reached through such proposals will be acceptable to the Tamils and not any proposal representing the interests of pro-LTTE separatist elements, he said.
