Call for enhanced trade between Pakistan, Lanka

The Pakistani High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Major General Qasim Qureshi has called for enhanced bilateral trade between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The High Commissioner, during a visit to the Galle district, has emphasised the need to explore ways and means to enhance business connectivity and the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries.

During the visit, Maj. Gen. Qureshi met officials of the Galle District Chamber of Commerce and Industry and reviewed the prevailing business environment between the two countries.

He noted that the two countries have put in place an overarching economic framework to facilitate businessmen of both countries to set up and strengthen commercial and investment ventures.
