Ananda-Nalanda limited over match today

The postponed Ananda-Nalanda 39th limited overs cricket encounter for the P. de S. Kularatne Memorial Trophy will be played today (Sunday) at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Khettarama commencing at 9.30 am.

The two schools have produced a number of Test and ODI players . In the series where Ananda has won 22 matches to their opponents 14 and the rest had ended in no decisions.

Ananda won the 38th encounter last year and the Nalandians surely will be trying to hit back forcefully to emerge victorious this year. Former Sri Lanka captain and the present Sri Lanka batting coach Marvan Atapattu (118) and in 1989 and Gihan Rupasinghe (101 in 2006) are the only two centurions in the limited overs series.
