Lanka represented at 2013 Seoul Friendship Fair
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul, South Korea participated in the
18th Seoul Friendship Fair, Korea's largest multicultural fair, earlier
this month at the Seoul City Centre.
This is one of most the prominent tourist attractions in South Korea.
More than 60 countries were represented at the fair together with local
institutions and 14 performers of different nationalities taking to the
stage.
The Sri Lanka Embassy organised three stalls to display traditional
handicrafts and tea, serve food and promote tourism.
The Sri Lanka handicraft and tea stall was visited by a large number
of guests who browsed through traditional masks and batiks and explored
the various flavours of Ceylon tea.
The food stand was one of the most popular food courts at the fair.
The Embassy also attended the Embassy chorus performances and
organised Lankan dance performances which were well-received by the
crowd.
