Agricultural exhibition in Killinochchi

The first ever agricultural exhibition in the Northern Province with all stake holders of the Agri-business chain will be held from July 26-28 at Central College grounds, Killinochchi.

Agbiz -North exhibition is organised by the National Agri Business council with Practical Action and endorsed by the Ministry of Agriculture. The exhibition will be coupled with Killinochchi International Trade Fair 2013. All stalls of the AgBiz pavilion are fully booked.

Secretary of National Agri Business Council, Rohitha Nanayakkara said they had to increase the number of stalls due to popular demand. The Ag-biz stalls include those of input suppliers, financial institutions, the Agriculture Department, Animal Production and Health Department, Coconut Cultivation Board, Milco and NLDB. There will be an agriculture and animal clinic to provide technical advice to the farmers. A few major banks of the country will assist farmers with special loan schemes.
