Akkarai residents resettled

Residents of Akkarai were resettled in their original homesteads at a ceremony chaired by Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development Minister Douglas Devananda and Northern Province Governor G.A. Chandrasiri recently.

Thirty-eight families were resettled under the first stage and facilities have been provided through the Kopay Divisional Secretary.

Security Forces Commander of Jaffna District Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Secretary to the Governor L. Illangovan, Divisional Secretary of Kopay Pratheeban, Army officials and officials from Kopay DS office and public also participated.
