
Quito Pedrosa and Marco Tommaso due here
The Duo formed by composer and saxophonist Quito Pedrosa and pianist
Marco Tommaso will perform in Colombo at the Russian Cultural Center on
September 6 at 7 pm.
They present a repertoire consisting of classical themes of Brazilian
popular music and "bossa nova", and compositions of Quito Pedrosa. The
Duo interprets several of the most popular genres of Brazilian music,
such as "Samba", "Choro" and "Baião", with ample space for improvisation
of jazzist influence. Quito Pedrosa was born in Rio de Janeiro, where he
lives Composer, arranger, guitarist and saxophonist, lived and studied
in Brasilia, Madrid, Lima and Paris. With four CDs recorded, Quito
Pedrosahas performed in the most well-known places of the instrumental
music circuit of Rio.
Marco Tommaso is also from Rio de Janeiro, where he has studied piano
since the age of seven. He was a student of LuizEça, a famous musician
in Brazil, with whom he developed a method of harmony applied to jazz
and popular music. |
