Housing project for Wayamba war heroes

The Ranaviru Seva Authority has launched a housing development project for war heroes in the North Western Province to coincide the Deyata Kirula 2014 national development program. Deyata Kirula 2014 program covers development activities in three administrative districts, namely Kurunegala, Puttalam and Kegalle.

Many houses of war heroes in the NWP are not fully constructed and steps will be taken to complete construction work on these houses under this new program for 2014.Thushara Dhammika Jayasinghe, the Provincial Office of the Ranaviru Seva Authority said that 400 houses in Kurunegala, 100 houses in Puttalam and 100 houses in Kegalle district will be constructed. Houses of widows and houses of parents who lost their sons in the battle field in the North against LTTE terrorism would be given priority in this housing development program, T.D. Jayasinghe said.
