The Youth Parliamentary concept of Sri Lanka
Ms. Navi Pillay, the High Commissioner for Human
Rights of United Nations has expressed that ‘the members of youth
parliament of Sri Lanka will guide a new era of tolerant coexistence
when they graduate to the main political stage. Ms. Pillay addressed
the third session of the second Sri Lanka Youth Parliament as chief
guest at the National Youth Services Council at Maharagama on 30th
August 2013.

LTTE rump intensifies anti-Lanka campaign
The LTTE rump appears to be conducting a series
of events to intensify their anti-Sri Lanka campaign. The UNHRC
chief Navi Pillay’s recent visit to Sri Lanka, the Northern
Provincial Council elections and the Commonwealth Heads of
Government Meeting (GHOGM 2013) are being used to project a gloomy
picture in the eyes of the international community.

Well, I don't think that LTTE per se can come
up. That seems impossible although one should not use the word
impossible. But we can rule it out the preserve of the LTTE. But
there are other fundamentalist forces that can come up in a
multicultural and multi religious society like Sri Lanka.
