Legends of Yesteryear

HelpAge Sri Lanka (HASL) will present a charity musical show "Legends of Yesteryear" with Annesley and Super Chimes at the Musaeus College auditorium, Colombo 7 on December 22 at 7 p.m.

HelpAge Sri Lanka a charitable organisation was established in 1986. The musical show is held to raise funds to carry out its free medical services and also to perform cataract surgeries for senior citizens free. The HelpAge Eye Care Centre, Wellawatta performs 15 cataract surgeries daily. The HASL also conducts free Mobile Medical Camps throughout the country.

"Legends of Yesteryear" will feature Sri Lanka's top performers such as Annesley Malawana, Sunil Perera, Dharmaratne Brothers, Ronnie Leitch, Mariazelle Goonetilleke, Anil Bhareti, Tony Hassen, Christopher Paul, Priyantha Fernando and Vincent De Paul Pieris.

Vijaya Corea will compere the show. Annesley and Super Chimes will present their old hits such as Mango Nanda, Kalumama, Udarata Niliya and Gon Wessa. The Dharmaratne Brothers will present their favourites such as Sahodarayo Hataradena, Wessa Wahinawa and Varsity Kollo. Anil Bhareti will sing Rosi Mage Rosi and Adave Irudina. Sunil Perera of the Gypsies will present a number of his old hits.
