Hakmana water scheme begins operations

Hakmana Water Supply Scheme which is nearing completion will use the Polkiripitiya natural water spring, Kongala, Muruthamuraya, Digana and Udupeellegoda natural water resources.

In addition, work on the water refinery and the storage tank of this project are also completed. The total cost is Rs. 445 million and this water project is expected to be vested with the people shortly.

Residents of Hakmana, Polkiripitiya, Gangodagama, Pothewela, Kongala ,Muruthamuraya and Denagama would be benefited through this water supply project.
