Success in examinations can lead to a vibrant career

Examination success is a reward in life for everyone of us to be more vibrant in our career. Success is a variation coming through different ways.

Your educational success comes from the examinations you face. Professional success is what you gain while you are employed.

Education and study highlights, tests and examinations in school and in the classrooms will be the enlightening path of your education. Education and completion of examinations guide students to the path of success.

Each year students have to pass the relevant examinations to get a promotion to the next class and to go ahead in their educational career. Starting from Grade 1 and until Grade 13 there are regular monthly tests, term tests and finally the promotion test.

Turning point

We have to pass all these examinations. The turning point in one's educational career is the GCE (O/L) Examination which for 2013 commence on December 10, 2013.

The most important aspect of the GCE (O/L) Examination is that the wealth of knowledge earned during two years has to be scripted within three hours.

Explaining it further, the nine subjects studied in class have been combined to theories in an examination paper which will be the first portrait of one's future educational career.

The determination, intelligence, the way one contributed towards his education and even the hard tasks faced throughout - all these are taken into consideration while facing the examination.

The descriptive theories and practical awareness have to be made a reality through this examination for future success. Question papers and answer scripts are very important at the GCE (O/L) Examination to all students as this is the milestone which takes one to the top to achieve the required standards in his educational career.

Managing time

The duration is highlighted in every question paper. To write the answers to these questions in any examination the maximum duration given is 2 ½ to 3 hours. The allotted time has to be divided accordingly to the number of questions one has to answer. First you must read the question paper very carefully. In most of the question papers there is a choice or a selection.

Selecting questions

While reading the question paper carefully, be confident and make sure that you select the questions you could answer best. Answer the questions you think are easy. The short questions can be answered briefly.

This will enable you to save time for the descriptive or longer questions which have to be answered with much care taking the time into consideration.

Write the question number very clearly in your answer paper, so that you may not leave any questions that you should answer.

Write to the point. We study and learn many things on all subjects which are given in the syllabus. But we have to write the answer relevant to the question.

Build up the relevant answers in the correct way. Spend a few seconds to think about the correct answer before you write. Think before you write the answer. Be comfortable while answering the paper.

Be confident

Be confident and make it a success Do not get excited. Be positive and very confident with the feeling that you will succeed in your examination. Your aim should be for good results.
