Havelocks fight-back to beat CR and FC 29-23

Defending champions Havelocks Sports Club staged a superb fight back
to score a 29 points (three goals, one try, one penalty) to 23 (two
goals, three penalties) victory over traditional rivals CR and FC in
their Dialog 'A' Division League rugby match played at Havelock Park
under floodlight yesterday after trailing 12-13 at half time.
Winger Sandun Herath (two tries), flanker Suharshan Muthuthanthri
(one) and centre Aiesa Haviea (one) scored the tries for Havelocks with
centre Villa Hakalo converting three tries and putting over a penalty
helping the Park Club to keep their unbeaten record intact.
CR and FC came up with a gallant display in the first half to take a
one point lead through two penalties by full back Reza Mubarak, who also
added the extra points to the try scored in the first half.
He also converted the solitary try by the Red Shirts in the second
half and also a fired across another penalty to keep the Red Shirts in
the game. But a superb fight back by the Park Club helped them to keep
their unbeaten record intact and be in contention for the Dialog 'A'
Division League rugby title.
