Schneider Electric goes for modern switchgear
Schneider Electric, an energy management company, introduced Premset
switchgear panel with a new modular design to Sri Lanka recently at
Waters Edge, Battaramulla.
Over 130 senior engineers and electrical consultants of CEB and LECO
were invited to the event and had an opportunity to experience a live
demonstration of the panel.
"Premset switchgear uses the Shielded Solid Insulation System (2SIS),
a breakthrough innovation that protects all the live parts, to help
ensure a safe, trouble-free service life for operator and equipment," a
company spokesman said.
"Breaking, disconnection, and earthing functions are all integrated
into a single compact three-position device. SF6-free design uses only
vacuum and air technologies," he said.
